Urine+Drano and an iPhone photo dump

I’m here! I’m here!

14 days since my last post 😦 Life has been busy busy… valentine parties, weekends away, pregnancy, a nasty cold and well, just everyday life in this crazy house that I sometimes mistake for a 3 ring circus. This post is more of a post in pictures of our last 2 weeks.

Enjoy!

Valentine’s Day… We take full advantage of any “holiday” around here!

Even though the numbers on the scale are steadily rising (Thank you, 3rd pregnancy) I am still managaing to get to the gym 5-6 days a week. Thoough my pace has slowed down a bit i’m running about 12 miles a week as well as cross training on the elliptical and arc trainer and as always, Spin and Pilates. Its been tough but I feel so lucky that I have been able to keep up my routine this far (18 weeks tomorrow!).

Last weekend Will and I were able to get away for a night and went to the Casino. A rare occasion for us, and though I enjoyed it greatly, I forgot that you could smoke in there and being as we stayed in the hotel attached to the casino floor, I came back with the worst cold/sinus problems i’ve every had. I spent most of last week fighting it off, hence the no blogging. I am so thankful for a wonderful husband and great friends that picked up my slack on the mom front while I rested myself back to health.

This is our last weekend at home before we start soccer and baseball 4 days a week and every weekend as well as many weddings coming up. We have taken full advantage of it. I haven’t seen Hayden without a hat on in well over a month. He even sleeps in it. I’m sure he will be bald by 20 but he looks so darn cute for me to make him take it off. Kash has started crawling out of his crib. Something I was definitely not prepared to deal with yet. It makes for much longer nights!! My baby that slept from 7-7 has now found his independance and is learning about testing his boundaries. Joy! Prayers are welcomed as we embark on this new journey that is the “terrible twos”.

Ever heard of the Drano Gender Prediction test? Yeah, me either. But my best friend, Lindsey, swears by it and has been hounding me to do it. So, I did.  Here are the details of it:

What is needed for the Drano / Draino Gender Prediction Test:

  • Approximately 2 tablespoons of CRYSTAL Drano
  • Medium glass or glass jar. It is best to just throw the mixing glass away after performing this test.
  • Two to Three ounces of urine, preferably the first morning urine.

Take the test materials outside. Add your urine to the glass jar with the crystal drano in it. There will be a rapid chemical reaction and it is best to stay well away from the glass jar while the fumes are being produced.

When the reaction stops, observe the color of the test.

If the mixture darkens to a brownish color within the first 10 seconds – It is a boy.
If there is no darkening or color change after 10 – 15 seconds – It is a girl.

Supposedly, if it turns green its a girl, brown for boy. As you can see in the pics I posted above mine turned green then brown.Confusion/Chaos… Story of my life. I’m convinced we are having another boy but thought this would be a fun thing to try. But, no luck. We find out the sex one week from tomorrow, March 4th. I guess, I can wait that long. 🙂

Today was such a gorgeous day here in Memphis. One of the last for a while according to our trusty weather guys. We had a great day outside with the boys. WE CAN’T WAIT UNTIL SPRING!!

I leave you with 2 videos that I cannot get enough of these days. I swear I need to watch them both every morning to remember what this little thing we call life is all about.

Crying yet? I did.

XOXO,

Paige
